Music Director Candidate Michael Christie’s rich and varied program continues with Dvo_ák’s masterpiece New World Symphony, which is seeded with American melody and folklore, complementing and contrasting the opening Hollywood score, which demonstrates Bernstein’s equal ease with jazz rhythm and memorable, soaring melody.
