Nathan Gunn has garnered a reputation as one of the most exciting and in-demand baritones of the century. With an impressive international career spanning from opera to musical theatre, he has appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony and Chicago Symphony, as well as in critically-acclaimed productions of Sweeney Todd, Camelot and Carousel. The Boston Globe calls him “an object lesson in beautiful technique, consistently rich from top to bottom.” Joined by his wife, pianist Julie Gunn, Nathan will perform a versatile program of music from the American Songbook, ranging from Irving Berlin and Cole Porter to Leonard Bernstein and Ned Rorem to Leonard Cohen and Pearl Jam.
